New Paris Places

New Paris Places
A Few other places we have enjoyed in Paris this pat month that we highly recommend:

1. Lapin Agile - Cabaret in Montmartre

And boy what an experience and extraordinary night! Like stepping back into a surreal old-world musical underground cave of Parisian nightlife, we enjoyed here a variety of singers, pianists, accordian players, poets and so much local Parisian talent, while sitting shoulder to shoulder with other locals and visitors, crammed on little wooden stools, hand clapping, foot stomping, singing along to all the classic french and world tunes, enjoying the house cherry-wine (delish) in a deep dark red tinged evening of festivity and fun.

One of our most memorable Paris experiences...a must! 28euro entry got us a free drink and the freedom to sit as long as we wanted all night as musicans and talent came and went entertaining the thirsty crowd.

2. Napoleons Apartments at the Louvre
No words except, simply Magnifique!

3. St Ouen Flea and Antique Markets

Just north out of the peripherique (border) find a whole world of Parisian antique dealers set up in maze upon maze in passages after passages of old world beauty and memoribilia and also junk heaven (the flea market seconds side is a pulsating funky town or retro and antique bric-a-brac and fashions) where you can still pick up treasures for a few euros...plus cool casual cafes and eateries to enjoy, this is another side of Paris, not the quintessential Paris but a real artful and rustic part of 'Paris' ...

Interesting characters, warm and quirky, and to top off the 'window shopping' a little Gypsy Jazz over a biere (its still Paris beer week) @ La Chope de Puces - a traditional Gypsy Jazz bar and restaurant - casual friendly. We loved this!
